The holidays are my favorite time of year to host family and friends so I decided to get a few of my favorite people together this past weekend! I partnered with MacKenzie-Childs, which is one of my favorite home decor and accessories brand to dream up the perfect holiday soiree.
Year round, my personal home decor style is mostly neutral with touches of black and mixing textures. For the holidays, I love the fun and classic touches that the MacKenzie-Childs brand adds to my home. I actually first found out about the brand through my mom, Susie! She visited one of their flagship stores in New York City and has been a fan ever since. Then I had the opportunity to get an in depth view of the the brand and meet some of the special people behind it. I loved learning about the history and how much thought and love goes into each piece.
For the holiday get together, I love the classic Courtly Check pattern that MacKenzie-Childs is known for and how they incorporate it in all types of holiday decor. The first thing that caught my eye when I was planning out my decor was the Classic Courtly Check Wreath which makes the perfect statement for your front door. Another item that I love is the Courtly Check Pedastal Urn. What I love about this urn is that you can change out the topper seasonly so for Christmas I put a miniature tree decorated with little presents!
I had a local florist Branch and Blossom Botanicals and a picnic company Chic Palm Beach come and help bring my vision to life! They did such an amazing job incorporating my MacKenzie-Childs pieces into the tablescape and even into the florals. I used my chargers from the Soho Collection and then paired them with my Courtly Check Dinner Plates. Another thing I did was use some of my MacKenzie-Childs pieces in unique ways. I loved using the cutting boards for my charcuterie and the teapot as a vessel for the flowers. After everything was set up everyone started to arrive and we had the best time! A holiday soiree would not be complete without a special guest so I had a local mixologist, Kirsten Turk come and teach us how to make a special holiday cocktail.
It was a perfect way to kick off the holidays with friends and family and sharing the uniqueness of the MacKenzie-Childs brand!
