Feeling like you need to recharge and reset but don’t have the time for a 4 or 5 night trip? Sometimes you just need a staycation! Ryan and I had the best weekend exploring West Palm Beach, which is only a 30 minute drive from where we live in Jupiter. We stayed at The Ben Autograph hotel, a fairly new hotel located in downtown West Palm Beach.
After check in and taking notes on the stunning decor in the lobby, we started our stay with happy hour at Elizabetta’s. An Italian restaurant located just in front of the hotel with outdoor/indoor seating, great drinks and specials.
For dinner, we made it to the new True Food Kitchen that just opened in Rosemary Square. It is always so good, we are so happy they made it to West Palm. Make sure to get the edamame dumplings and the ancient grains bowl. Another great spot that we finally got to try was Nomad by Sean Rush. This little spot is on Antique Row is an ongoing art installation that offers wine and unique food options. They have live music and the best atmosphere for a date night or a night out with the girls.
The next morning we walked to Pura Vida for coffee and breakfast. It was about a mile walk each way so wear comfortable shoes! Rosemary Square is the perfect area to walk around and explore. There is an Anthropology, Urban Outfitters, H&M, other restaurants and local shops.
After that we enjoyed the amazing rooftop pool at The Ben. They serve cocktails and light bites and they also have a bar, Spruzzo that is so much fun at night and open to the public. We then got ready for our reservations at the hotel restaurant, Proper Grit. Proper Grit recently brought on a new chef and revamped their menu. We were so impressed by the cocktails and new menu options. Make sure to try the Key Lime Margarita and the Mushroom Bruschetta!
